Andrew B. Duncan died Dec. 18, 1872 aged 48 years. A native of Glasgow, Scotland. Also his son Robert, died Aug. 12, 1862, aged six years. "Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord."

The child died during an epidemic. Duncan and his first wife, Jennet Neilson, had a second son baptised in the Old Kirk, 20 October 1868, and named Robert S. after their first son. Andrew Duncan had a tinsmith shop in Regent Street. There is no marker for Jennet, who died before 1870. Andrew Duncan was survived by his second wife, Elizabeth [?], and nine children.

The funeral of Andrew DUNCAN of Fredericton whose death was caused by an overdose of hydrate of chloral, was conducted by the Masonic body in that city on Saturday.
